What data we collect and why we collect it
We collect only information from you that is necessary for us to provide services and information we believe to be of value to you.
With all the new data guidelines in place, we felt we needed to include a little section about what we do with all that nifty information. When you visit our Sites, create an account, register on our Sites, purchase an item or otherwise contact us in some fashion via our Sites, we will need to collect some data. This may include personal data, such as name, email address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase information; and technical data, such as cookies. This information is used to provide you with the best online experience, contact you about your account, your products, or other relevant information such as updates and marketing as well as to provide you with a private account for your purchases.
This information may also be used to customize, personalize, analyze, evaluate, adjust and improve the Sites and our services to meet your needs and expectations.
This information is stored privately and securely via our website and will be deleted if/when you request it’s deletion. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
We use Jetpack to track our analytics. This just let us know how many people are visiting our site, what pages and products generate the most traffic, what users are currently logged in and things of that nature.
So, what do we do with all that nifty info? Not much actually. Any personal or transactional data collected on the Sites is done so only to create the very best user experience for you. Like any other website and online shop, we collect data only to enhance your experience, fill your orders, provide support and contact you with general updates, information and marketing. If you have any additional questions about how your data is being used, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What we promise never to do
We promise not to distribute your personal information. We will never sell, share, rent or otherwise distribute your information. We will protect your personal information as it were our own. We do not disclose your personal information to unaffiliated third parties unless you have requested or authorized us to do so.
We promise not to spam you. Sure, we’ll send you some emails, maybe let you know about your products, upcoming services, projects or events, but we will try very hard not to bug you. You may opt out of communication with us at any time.
Terms of Service
What You Can and Can’t Do
When using our Sites we expect the following:
You can: Use our content and products to create a deeply personal Tarot practice. We would love that! We hope that our content, products and services help you to enhance and expand your Tarot practice in new and unexpected ways.
You can: Let us know if you have a problem. If you have a problem with something on our Sites, please come to us. We want you to have the best experience possible and we will do everything we can to help you with whatever issues you may have.
You can: Tag us on social media. Cause who doesn’t like to be tagged? If you would like to share a post about Boho Tarot or one of our products or repost one of our social media messages, please tag us with @boho_tarot on Instagram and /bohotarot on Facebook. You can also use the hashtag #bohotarot. We love to see pictures from our friends!! We hope you’re sharing nice things about us, but we know we won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. If you have a problem, issue or concern about anything on our Sites or any of our products, please let us know. If we can fix it, we will.
Please don’t: Steal our content. Our Content and products are very precious to us and every blog post, video, audio file, magazine issue, digital document, product, service or anything else you find on the Sites is a labor of love. If you would like to share something you’ve seen on our Sites or purchased from us, please contact us for permission.
Please don’t: Share your account. We’ve all been guilty of this from time to time, but please don’t give someone else, not even your very best friend in the whole wide world, access to your Boho Tarot Shop account or share any workshops, downloads or digital content. But feel free to share our link so that your friends, family and Tarot tribe can discover all the offerings at Boho Tarot for themselves. How cool is that?
Please don’t: Be a robot. That means don’t use auto posters that share comments like “This is best site! You share my link.” That doesn’t help anyone.
Please don’t: Post things that you’re not supposed to or don’t have permission to post. This doesn’t just mean Boho Tarot things, this means other people’s stuff too. Respect the author/artist and give credit where credit is due.
Please don’t: Do anything else that we are opposed to, which we reserve the right to decide at any given moment. In other words, play nice and respect the people behind the screens and the content you’ve been provided. If you fail to follow the rules, we reserve the right to delete your account and ban you from the Sites. If we fail to see you fail to follow the rules, it is not a waiver to enforce our rights at any time for the same or different offense.
We’re not Amazon. We’re small time, so every word of our awesome content, helpful piece of advice, picture, video, text, audio file, and digital document, is precious to us (and coincidentally part of our intellectual property, altogether known as “Content”). Our content is protected by all kinds of laws. This means that you should never copy, use, distribute, or even share our content without our permission. If you want to copy something for your own personal use (of which you pinky-promise to be the only one ever to use it) you may do so with our blessing.
If you are providing us with content, you swear that it is yours and you have permission to give it to us. Violation of other people’s stuff is not cool.
Third Party Sharing
Our Sites may have links to third party website, like Facebook, but we have no control of or take any responsibility for their content. If you have issues with someone else’s site or content, please talk to them.
Our Sites may contain affiliate links. These will be clearly labeled as such. It is important to note that you do not pay more for any product purchased via an affiliate link. Basically all it means is that if you purchase a product using one of our affiliate links, Boho Tarot get a small percentage of the sale, a “finders fee” if you will. This money goes to support the cost of running the Sites. You will still pay the same amount whether you use an affiliate link or not. But just so we’re all on the same page, we will let you know whenever and wherever we use an affiliate link.
Products and Services
Our products and services are provided “as-is” meaning we try our very best to create the best possible products, services and content but sometimes things (like typos) happens. If you have an issue with one of our products or services (or find a pesky typo) please let us know. We will always work to address customer concerns as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We will do our best to maintain our Sites so that they function at peak performance, however we cannot be responsible for anything that happens due to things on your end. This means your Internet Service Provider, your computer, or if your cat walks across your keyboard and accidentally deletes your entire account (actually we have protocols in place to prevent accidental deletion, so Fluffy would have to work really hard to do that.) We can also not be responsible for things outside of our control which may affect or disrupt our Sites and services.
Payments and Processing
Our online shop is powered by WooCommerce which contains security measures to protect your information. All payments are processed through Paypal via WooCommerce. Payments will be listed as Boho Media on your card statements.
Due to the digital nature of our products and services we do not offer refunds. If you have a concern about a product or service you purchased, please contact our customer care team.
Thank you for taking the time to read this information and for complying with the terms laid out here. We want to create the very best websites and services for you, so if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, we encourage you to share them anytime with us at email@example.com.
